Plex Port Checker
Verify that port 32400 is reachable so Plex can stream remotely without falling back to relay.
Why Plex needs port 32400 open
Plex prefers direct connections between your server and remote devices. If your port isn't reachable, Plex falls back to its relay service — capped at 2 Mbps, which means stuttering and lower quality.
Setup checklist
- In the Plex web UI, go to Settings → Remote Access. Note the "manual" port (default 32400).
- Forward TCP port 32400 from your router to the server's local IP.
- In Remote Access, check "Manually specify public port" and enter 32400.
- Plex should show a green "Fully accessible outside your network" message.
- Confirm with this checker.
